Sources of Inspiration

If you're not familiar with it, Appendix N is a reference written by Gary Gygax that contains sources for "Inspirational and Educational Reading". My own Appendix N is provided on this page, and has links to other creators I support, as well as books, movies, and other key sources that have inspired me over the years.

The Princess Bride

My favorite movie, and the best of all time as far as I'm concerned, this movie started my love for storytelling and is the basis for so many excellent tropes and inspirations. 10/10, required watching.

Fafhrd & The Grey Mouser

Written by Fritz Lieber, these stories are an example of the writing style I want to develop. Details, yet concise. Compelling, yet brief. These stories follow a barbarian and a rogue character, but the worldbuilding and adventure telling is short, but SO effective. 9.5/10 highest recommendation.
